My first time visiting an arcade was intense, especially since I have never been to one before. I decided to go to the Arcade Warehouse in Chatsworth, which was suggested by my awesome English teacher. I took the bus to get there and it was my first time on one so double on the new experiences! There were people and games everywhere. It’s open on Saturdays from 9a.m.-4p.m. and its free!!! Thats right folks, NO NEED FOR QUARTERS!!! I was in shock….. more like heaven. Imagine walking into a garage, fun games lining the wall, giving you that vintage feel and you do not have to pay, perfection. Upon my arrival, I noticed all kinds of people and age differences were there to play games and no, for all those stereotypes out there, they were not all nerds! It was also very family oriented and had lots of couples. So, if you have a family or are looking for a cool new place to have date, this your place! The staff there were really friendly and welcoming. They asked me if this was my first time and I said yes. They gave a lot of info about the games (i.e renting, parties, times, no quarters etc.) It was nice, although they were surprised that I found out and visited them for an English assignment. I was so overwhelmed, that I ended up playing a whole bunch of games. I played Mortal Kombat, Pac man, Ms. Pac man, Rage, Crisis Zone, Time Crisis 2, Rampage, Space Gun, Berzerk, Air hockey, Missile Command, Asteroids Deluxe, and Pinball. Most of these games I played multiple times and it was super fun! It was fun to play in a public setting because it was with a bunch of people who enjoy it a lot. I would definitely go back and bring more friends with me next time.
